Caption: Harry was one of the World War 2 Veterans I painted in the summer of '18. I had already painted a few of the guys when word got to me that Harry did not think he'd live to see his Birthday at the end of August. I painted this for Harry that same day. His daughters told me how much joy it gave to him as he showed it off to all of his friends who visited him. That's the best payment anyone can ever receive for their work - they joy it brings others!
